Law & Bioethics: A Multimedia Presentation

by Gary E. Jones & Joseph P. DeMarco

Supporting Resources: Court Cases

Each of the eight main topics in Law & Bioethics, such as Informed Consent, is supported by extensive background material.  This includes over 150 carefully edited court cases.  Cases are accessed in two ways:  (1) Within presentations, as cases are discusses, a link to the case appears on the right side of the frame.  (2) Cases can also be found though menu driven legal resources.  A page links to the court cases for each topic; a topic menu page contains summaries of relevant cases, including but going beyond the cases mentioned in the presentations.

Each case is listed under subheadings.  For example, cases in Human Reproduction are listed under subheadings including Wrongful Birth, Wrongful Life, Wrongful Conception, Abortion and Privacy, Regulation of Abortion, and Conflict of Rights:  Pregnant Women vs. Fetus.  Cases can be called, via mouse clicks, from the case summaries.
