Law & Bioethics: A Multimedia Presentation
Each of the ten topics is divided into main sections, each with its own home page. For example, informed Consent contains:
Frames in the main presentation contain all the basically important information; however, frames typically include additional information by way of pop-up material. Pop-up boxes provide definitions of terms, amplify material, offer information about court cases, contain special notes, and so on. Basic material can be absorbed quickly, or full advantage can be taken of pop-up information.
As we proceed through a topic, links are added to supporting material. On the right are links to court cases, bioethical topics such as futility, statutes, uniform codes, and so on. On the left are links to carefully selected Internet material.
Main presentations are interrupted by video questions and answers, simulating a class experience. These involve actors who play a student and a philosophy/law professor, one of the main authors, Professor Gary Jones.
